Every Day Makeup

Everyday Makeup
I thought I would share my every day makeup routine, its quite basic as I don't really opt for a lot of makeup at the minute because its getting 'warmer' and my skin is being temperamental, but I do have  a routine which I tend to stick to, enjooooooyy!
Skin Base
I use the Rimmel wake me up foundation pretty much every day, this is the only foundation i go back to again and again. It gives me enough coverage without being too heavy, I find it makes my skin look so much healthier! I use a Zoeva 102 silk finish brush to blend this in, it is such a nice soft brush and it works really well with the foundation! Finally for concealer i use the collection lasting perfection, such amazing coverage, who doesn't use this?! Sorry for the photo, all the writing has rubbed off of the tube!

and some colour...

I've previously mentioned that I'm pretty pale, so i need to get some colour on me, plus i love making it look like i have 'cheekbones'. This Estee Lauder bronze goddess bronzer is awesome, i love it, this has been in my makeup bag for quite a while now, i don't want to take it out, it's just one of those massive compact bronzers where you can get your big brush into it and just wipe it all over your face. but more elegantly, haha! The blush i use daily is the Nyx powder blush in the shade 'pinched', this is amazingly pigmented and comes out so natural, it just gives me a nice natural bit of colour!

Like i mentioned before, this makeup is really basic, so for the eyes i keep it really simple, mainly because i don't have loads of time in the morning! I use the mac paint pot in 'soft ochre' all across my eyelids. I have used this to death since i bought it, it is pretty much a skin colour and sort of blocks out all the colour/veins on my eyelids, i find it makes my eyes stand out more! I then subtly line my lids with the Maybelline master precise eyeliner, basically fool proof as its just like a pen! If i have more time i do winged eyeliner, but normally just stick to lining my lids. I then use the Nyx jumbo eye pencil in the shade milk which is just a brilliant white eyeliner , i find it makes me look more awake and makes my eyes look brighter! Finally on my eyes i curl them with some cheapo eyelash curler from boots then i use the soap and glory thick and fast mascara which i lurrrrrrrvvv! It gives me huge, non-clumpy lashes, winner! On my eyebrows i use a mixture of mac's mystery and omega eye shadows which makes a colour matching my brows. I apply this with an angled brush and then use a rimmel brow pencil to neaten up the ends which you can tell is well loved! I also finish them by coating them with the Maybelline brow drama. After a quick powder down with my mac mineralize skinfinish natural powder, I'm all ready to goooooo!

Perfect Blushes

if you're like me and have the skin of a milk bottle you will know how useful a good blush can be, because i am so pale, finding a good blush is hard, however they are my guilty pleasure and i have to admit i am the biggest hoarder of them; there are quite a few in my makeup collection..
i thought i would share with you my top 5 favourite blushes, enjoooooyyy!

My Top 5 Blushes
1. Sleek blush trio in 'pink lemonade'
i have to say sleek is one of my favourite brands for blushes and at £9.99 this trio is perfect value as you get 3 for a tenner! The first shade is 'icing sugar' and is a very natural pink shade which i love applying on my cheeks for a slight shimmer. The middle shade is 'macaroon' and is a quite a peachy cream blush, have never tried a sleek cream blush before, but it has great colour pay off and lastly the shade on the right is 'pink mint' which is much like the first shade shimmer-wise but it is quite a bit darker and i would describe this as more of a fuchsia colour. All in all i think this is brilliant, especially for taking travelling as you have 3 different blushes in 1 compact!

2. Too Faced perfect flush blush in 'candy glow'
I bought this a few months ago in a moment of spontaneity, i had previously seen this all over tumblr/instagram because of how pretty the packaging is. It is extremely photogenic haha! That is one of my favourite things about this blush; the beautiful packaging. this is more on the pricey side at £24, but for a high end blush, its great value! it consists of 3 shimmery shades varying from peachy shades to more coraly ones. i love sweeping my brush accross all 3 colours to just have a slight injection of colour on my cheeks, i love that this also doesn't come out too drastic either, its very natural!

3. Mac powder blush in 'Fleur Power'
This is my most recent blush buy, but i have used it pretty much every day for the last 2 weeks, again its on the pricier side at £18 but mac blushes never fail to disappoint. This shade is very natural and is one of the only blushes i have found to match my skin tone like perfectly! The colour pay off is great and I've found i can use this higher up on my cheekbones to contour slightly and it still looks fab!
4. Nars Blush in 'super orgasm'
I have gotten a lot more into nars recently and just had to try one of their blushes, so when i found myself in selfridges i opted for this beauiufl coral pink shades with little flecks of gold running through it in the sahde 'super orgasm'. the thing i love about this is it is so versatille.i use it a lot when i go out because it is very light reflecting and looks so pretty in photos. Apologies again as this is another high end blush at £22.50 but i would honestly reccomend splashing out for this!
5. Nyx Cream blush in 'boho chic'
Unfortunately we don't have a nyx here in the UK but, around Christmas time i found myself ordering a bunch of nyx things from their website as i just had so many things i wanted to try. I have always been a big fan of cream blushes because i have quite dry skin and i thought i would try out the nyx one. This is great value as well, i think i payed the equivalent of about 6 pounds which is amazing! It is such a fantastic product, you need the tiniest bit on your finger, blended out and it gives you the loveliest glow, we just need a nyx in England now!

A Night At Prom...

So this time of year is prom season and im not going to lie i was extremely excited, i'm such a typical girl when it comes to things like this, a chance to dress up, do your hair all nice and actually look 'alright'..
Mine was held on Friday night and it was amazing, despite everything i'd heard about it being cheesy i had a really great night and it was so nice to just see everyone, so i really wanted to do a blog post about my prom and share my experience, hope you enjoy!

This was me on the night, my dress was from Sherri Hill
Me&My Friend Emma who looked stunning...
These were my nails on the night, felt fab!

i also thought i would share my 'clutch essentials'
My clutch essentials

1. Blotting Sheets- when are these ever not useful? I am quite an oily skin kind of person therefore for me it was necessary to keep these at hand so i could rid myself of excess oil -mmmm yummy!

2. Powder- again, for me it was important to re-powder myself throughout the night as i became quite shiny, especially as there were lots of photos being taken!

3. Small mascara- i had a sample of the mac zoom fast black lash which was super useful, i found that especially as i had lashes on, topping up my mascara helped them stay on for longer but also made me look more awake!

4. A mirror- obviously a must, especially when you are on the go, mine is a small pocket mirror from sighh.bigcartel.com and it's adorable!

5. Lip products- throughout the night my lip products did eventually wear off my lips and so i kept them in my clutch for when needed them; i used topshop lipstick in 'saint' and revlon 'peony' lipgloss.

6. mini perfume- this was one of my favourite things to have with me because i love my perfumes, so i kept this at hand, luckily it was my favourite scent which is marc jacobs' daisy.

We also had a photo booth which was hilarious

all in all i had an amazing night and to anyone else that is having one soon, have loads of fun, hope this blog post was alright as it is my first proper one but enjoy, lots of love!
